BALTIMORE FILM FESTIVAL & SCREENPLAY COMPETITION (BAFF).
The mission is to celebrate cinema, for the artists to have launch pads for their careers and for the audience to discover new voices.
WHAT WE OFFER:
Industry impact:
– A FINANCIER WILL BE SCOUTING PROJECTS/FILMMAKERS.
– AN AGENT WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE.
– REFERRALS TO A DISTRIBUTOR.
Exposure:
– A review from a film critic, event photography, and promotional coverage to showcase filmmakers’ work to the public.
Networking:
– Being talented is not enough for a career but after the festival you’ll have stronger connections.
Awards:
– Laurels for the official selections and awards for the Best: Feature, Short, Documentary, Maryland Film, Director, Performance, Cinematography and Editing.
– For the screenplay competition, there will be quarterfinalists, semifinalists and one winner.
Feedback Option:
– A filmmaker will give thorough and honest comments for the development of the project.
Film screenings:
– All selected films will play before a live Baltimore audience in a state-of-the-art movie theatre.
THE GUARANTEE:
– This is a meritocracy. The festival was created by a filmmaker himself, Paulo Pérez, who is well-aware of the festival circuit. Every submission is watched/read with care. Every award is earned.
